Today I woke up early stretched my arms and got out of bed. I was thinking about what my visit with Panther would be like. I was so excited I could hardly wait. I got dressed in my black RSQ skinny jeans and threw on a blue v-neck tee shirt. I went over to my closet and grabbed my black and red Volcom hat. I turned it backwards and put it on my head. I ate breakfast and brushed my teeth. I walked out the door into the cold early morning air and got in the car. My parents drove me over to the airport and we talked all the way because I wouldn't see my parents for a while. I was so nervous because I was going to a third world country without my parents. We walked into the airport and I went through security. After that I went and sat down at my gate. "Flight 174 is boarding!"I got up and walked through the door. My parents waved goodbye and I waved back. I got into the plane, found my seat, and sat down. I played games on my phone for the 45 minute flight to San Francisco. When I got in the airport I got some lunch and then walked to my gate. I was wondering what I would do on the EXTREMELY long 34 hour flight to Juba airport. I downloaded three movies, Sucker Punch and Terminator 1 and 2. I got onto my plane and found my seat. I slept for about 4 hours and then watched Sucker Punch. I played games on my ipad for a while and then got some dinner on the plane. Because I was in first class I leaned my seat back all the way and went to sleep for the night. I woke up 8 hours later. I got a snack and then watched both the Terminator movies one after another. I read from A Dogs Purpose for a while and then I just got a coke and chilled for a while. I landed in Sudan worn out and feeling sick. It was midnight in Sudan so there wasn't a whole lot of people there. I saw Panther and I ran up to greet him. We talked and he led me to his car. I was so tired when I got in the car that my eyes started to close and I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning lying in a soft bed. I heard the sound of boiling water. I found my suitcase by the bed and I threw on some clothes. I walked into Panther's living room I said good morning and he handed me a cup of tea. We drank our tea while we talked. He told me that we could go see the popular Sudanese hip hop artist Lam Tungwar if I wanted to. I said yes and that it sounded like a great idea. Panther cooked a big breakfast that had many things that normaly would be eaten for dinner such as rice and curry. It was a very interesting meal and I had never had anything like it. We finished up our breakfast and got ready to go. We walked over to the concert because it wasn't very far away. When we got there everybody was cheering and I went along with it. The stage was in a very pretty lush green area with lots of trees. The first song he sang was called "Machakoben". I liked the song quite a bit. He did many other songs to that were all good but the first one was my favorite. When we got back home we ate a lunch of lentils with chicken and lamb. I wanted to show Panther some of the music that is very popular in the U.S so I showed him "Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits" by Skrillix. He thought the music sounded like an electronic storm. After that his wife came home from doing some work at the school. She was very nice and made me feel even more welcome than I did before. After I met Panther's wife we went over to the school that they are building. Panther said that they had a goal of nintey five thousand dollars but they only have twelve thousand eight hundred. He said that it was going to be a Christian school for children. We went to the a store on the way home to get ingredients for dinner. Dinner was great and very very exotic. It was late so I put on p.js and got into bed. As I pulled the covers up over my head I thought about the great day that I had. And I slowly drifted off to sleep. Telling you about the whole magical two weeks I spent in South Sudan with Panther would take too long so I just gave you a taste of what my trip was like. I woke up on the last morning of my visit feeling a little sad because I had to leave that day. I ate some breakfast and then Panther and his wife took me to the airport. Before I left, Panther gave me a stone carving of what the school would look like when it is done. As I walked out of my gate I turned around and waved to Panther one last time.
